Blooming OUT
A weekly radio show dedicated to Gay Lesbian Bisexual Trans Queer (GLBTQ) life. bloomingOUT began broadcasting Thursday, October 9, 2003. The show is one of very few about GLBTQ life, not only in Indiana, but in the entire United States. bloomingOUT serves as an informational link to the GLBTQ community and provides, for many GLBTQ people, the only real connection they have with their community. The program can be heard throughout south central Indiana (radio signal), but is also heard around the world via the Web. The broadcast offers queer news, a monthly GLBTQ history segment, student segment, diversity segment, travel segment, interviews with queer musicians and playing of their music, interviews with community members, and much more. Most importantly, bloomingOUT offers everyone a better understanding of the GLBTQ community; its diversity and its humanity.
